Membership Plot Process/Conditions, Application and COVID-19 Guidelines Garden plots are assigned to individual or family members who pay an application fee and seasonal plot fee as detailed in the Application Process and Conditions of Membership document and in the Garden's Constitution. Volunteer hours are also detailed and may be bought out if so desired, as detailed in the document. The Online Application for the 2023 growing season is now available. Applications will close on the 1st of April 2023. We expect emails to go out confirming the plots to existing members and asking new members to make a plot choice in the week of the 10th of April 2023. Member's COVID-19 Guidelines All garden members should abide by City of Ottawa and local Public Health regulations regarding COVID-19 requirements in public spaces and that people should be vaccinated and respectful of each other and maintain social distancing while in the garden. Please note that it is important before applying online to read the Application Process and Conditions of Membership document to fully understand the application process and conditions of membership. Donation Plots Application Donation plots will used to grow food for donation to social service agencies, meal programs or families in need etc. This section will be managed by the Donation Plot Coordinator, who is responsible for ensuring that the plots are maintained. Social service agencies, meal programs or families in need etc will be responsible for meeting conditions as specified in the Donation Plot Agreement. |
