Brewer Pool meeting room, 100 Brewer Way
Brewer Park Community Garden invites all members, neighbours and local residents to attend a meeting about the Biodome Garden – a first-of-its-kind, innovative and cost-effective way to grow food year-round in Ottawa. Passive solar heating, reduced water consumption and improved access to healthy, fresh, local food are just a few of the Biodome’s environmental and health benefits.
The meeting will be an opportunity to share the approved biodome design, recruit volunteers, describe the process to get a plot, and answer any questions people may have.
The Biodome will be installed in Brewer Park in April/May 2014. A community celebration will be hosted once it’s up and running. Watch for the announcement and plan to attend.
The Biodome Project is made possible with support from Capital Ward Councillor David Chernushenko and the Neighbourhood Connection Office at the City of Ottawa.
Michael Oster is also looking for a volunteer photographer to take photos at the event. Please get in touch with him (see below) if you would like to assist with that.
