Mark Saturday May 16th from 8h30 – 12h30 on your calendar as the Brewer Park Community Garden Opening Workbee!
Some of the tasks that will need to be performed are the following:
1) Cleaning out and organizing the shed
2) Turning the compost
3) Adding compost and soil to the berry boxes where needed
4) Adding soil to the Children’s plot along the fence
5) Setting-up the watering system
6) Other tasks TBD
We have many of the tools at the garden, but if you want to bring your own for this day, please do – we could use an extra wheel barrel.
This will also be a good weekend to get your own plots ready and planted. Once completed we will have a pot-luck, get to know each other and share our planting stories. We can also have a tour of the Biodome!
The more that can come, the faster we can get done and celebrate a new growing season! All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and food to share!
