We wanted to give you an update on the 2020 growing season. Right now the garden is closed. You can walk through the garden, but you cannot stop. The garden will remain closed until June 30, 2020. This closure is in alignment with the City of Ottawa’s decision to keep public facilities and parks closed. This is part of a dedicated effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and keep our community safe.

We are unsure if the garden will be able to open this year. The provincial government has closed all community gardens. It is possible this decision may change. Even if the Province were to allow the opening of gardens in July or August, we are unsure if our garden would open, due to it’s proximity to the COVID-19 testing site at the Brewer arena.
In the event that the BPCG remains closed all season, your membership fees for the 2020 growing season will be credited towards the 2021 season. Please let us know if you require a refund and we will send you an e-transfer.
We will keep you informed of any changes. We hope everyone is well and we can’t wait until we can see you all at the garden again.
